The Fan Museum is pleased to bring a culturally minded afternoon of craft to its Georgian replica Orangery, a session undertaking both Fan Making and Paper Cutting.
12:2:00pm – A session making a traditonal folding fan with Dawn Wylds, Fan Making Facilitator to The Fan Museum.
2:00-2:30pm – A Break, with teas and coffees.
2:30-4:30pm – A session papercutting a fixed (Uchiwa) fan with Chloe Campbell, a specialist artist.
All materials are provided by The Fan Museum – simply turn up and take part!
This is an event with limited capacity, with only 6 places available, and tickets at £80.00 each. Entry into the Museum and to see our current exhibition ‘Monarchy: An Exhibition of Royal Fans’ is included in the ticket price.
Dawn Wylds is a designer maker with a background in art education and a BA (Hons) in Textile and Surface Pattern Design. She is The Fan Museum’s resident workshop facilitator and also enjoys volunteering there.
Chloe Campbell is an Artist specialising in papercuts, drawings, playing cards and prints of architecture. She studied Fine Art and History of Art (MA) at the University of Edinburgh. Her website is www.chloecampbellart.com.
